My profile is closely linked to the university and training which has naturally led me to give a great number of courses and talks in Spain and in other countries about storytelling and, in particular, about reading promotion.
I like reading a lot (you only have to see the blog dedicated to reading on my Spanish website: my reading biography, book recommendations on my website, book recommendations on my blog and my favourite authors), and I love sharing quality reading and awakening an appetite for books. For that reason I have spent many years training professionals to develop strategies for reading promotion.
You can see a proposal for one of my typical courses on reading promotion (in Spanish) here.
In fact I have read and thought a lot about the question of how to bring books to readers (and non-readers), I have written articles and I have designed strategies to promote reading which have been implemented in schools and libraries throughout Spain.
Some of these activities have received the Ibero-American Best Practice Seal from LEER.ES, which is overseen by the Spanish Ministry of Education and Culture.
You can look up many of these strategies (in Spanish) here.
